Sow a seed of hope.
Vegetable seeds can provide sustainable and varied nutrition for vulnerable families. The seeds provide a variety of produce such as tomatoes, onions, peppers, squash, cucumbers, courgettes and beans. Families can also sell the extra produce in the market for additional income.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Robert is a 51-year-old farmer who lives in Haiti with his wife and two children. He has long struggled with keeping his farming business profitable as his yields were always low. His son, Maycly, is a sponsored child with FH and so his family was gifted some vegetable seeds. Robert was also invited to attend farming trainings to learn best practices from FH staff. His following harvest was double what it was before and now he has enough to feed his family and earn more profit.
This year, vegetable seeds will be distributed to communities in Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, India, Mozambique, Rwanda & Peru.
