Hygiene kits will improve the lives of children through proper grooming and the prevention of disease.
A hygiene kit provides the necessary tools for self-grooming such as soap, combs, toothbrushes and toothpaste as a part of FH’s efforts to teach personal hygiene. Personal cleanliness can help vulnerable families avoid several diseases like tooth decay, as well as scabies and other skin infections.
THE IMPACT OF HYGIENE KITS
After Typhoon Haiyan occurred in Philippines in November 2013, FH knew something had to be done to help families survive the devastation. A total of 5,818 families received hygiene kits and other necessary survival items. FH also distributes hygiene kits to refugee families like Rania’s, whose family moved to Lebanon from Syria to escape the danger of war.
This year, Hygiene kits will be distributed to communities in Kenya, Peru & the Phillipines.
